Pen Size 3D Printer

Innovation. Take an existing technology. Repackage it into a brand new thing. Sell the idea. Wham big win.

It makes sense: Create a small size 3D printer that prints or draw 3D stuffs. And what more than to have the ink using highly rigid plastic?

Signals from Djibouti

Sorry for the lengthy one week absence dear daily learners.

So this came to me in an email, courtesy of National Geographic. I'd say although I subscribe them yet I don't really go through every subscription. In fact it was totally random for me to open up this one.

Now as we are aware that the advancement of globalization and technology has really narrowed down the borders and distance (figuratively) between each and everyone of us. Put simply, with the ever evolving and increasing apps and widespread coverage of the Internet, losing in touch is something we are getting out of touch. Even the ever happening and on spot updates can be delivered via #hashtag at almost every available platforms out there.

But not all of us are in sync with the latest advancement. There are those of us who lag behind.

So here's a story and a shot, that took the top prize for 2013.

3D Printing

Downloading pictures, documents, music, movies.

Almost all of you who reads the first sentence up there knows how to do it. Now, imagine that you could now download stuffs from the net and make them 3D in reality.

If you still don't get the picture, think of downloading a Lego piece. A toy, camera, work tools, you name it.

How?

3D printing!

I knew of it quite some time ago. But I did not know how. Well after watching this video, I get the idea, and also the downside of it too.

Well like it or not, it's best to embrace and make the most good out of it!

Tesla Motors

So there are electric sports cars up for grabs now. My oh my.

I knew there were electric cars, even we can buy a specific model here in Malaysia (Mitsubishi's i-miev)

Now granted that it doesn't look very stylish. Perhaps this is why I still don't see any of this models on Malaysian road.

But Tesla Motors are already building electric sports cars. Don't know about the performance wise, but will check it out one of these days!

Here is a brief intro on how Tesla Roadsters are made

Pardon me, but I'm really into cars at the moment :)

The Copenhagen Wheel

LOL another tech update.

But this simply blows me away. We have always thought of electric cars. Well perhaps we already had electric bikes sometime ago. But I think the Copenhagen Wheel is different.

It isn't just an ordinary hybrid bicycle. It's a new age technology and innovation.

25 Lessons to be learnt Each Day

Luckily I was able to find this website after just briefly viewing it last time.

I'm gonna set a target to learn at least one new thing from each of this website, hopefully daily.

And I'm making a post about this so that I know where I bookmarked it (yeah in this very blogbook)

Thank you lifehack

Bitcoin: The New Currency of The World

A currency, that is independent of any government and bank on the world.

You can even trade it for other currencies (yes as in Forex trading), and some businesses also accept Bitcoins as payment, as Bitcoins can be converted into real world currency.

My say on Bitcoin is: It is one of the things you've gotta know.

Here's a brief summary or explanation on what and how Bitcoins can change our lives: NDTV.com

Yoghurt Technology

Today I've learned yoghurt technology from a very very senior manager at work!

Contrary to other products, one big difference that sets yoghurt from the rest is - it contains millions and millions of bacteria inside it. It's a LIVE product!

On paper it is easy to make yoghurt. Make the milk curd! But there is so much science behind the secret of a great yoghurt. From the raw material itself - the casein and whey protein, till the bacteria strains used for inoculation (lactobacillus bulgaricus & streptococcus thermophillus) and the processing parameters.

What are the difference of set yoghurt, stir yoghurt, and yoghurt drink?

Food science actually makes a lot of sense. Just think of mastering all the basics, obey the law of science, understand it and apply it to your advantage.

You shall be the king of all foods.

Automatic Blog Updates to Facebook and Twitter with networkblogs

Ok. Finally something worth mentioning and learnt today!.

What I've learned: I knew that Networkblogs.com can be used to auto update your facebook and twitter. I had my previous blog auto updating my facebook and twitter. But I just forgotten how.

Well I finally found out how though - plain simple.

1. Go to networkblogs. Register if you haven't
2. Get yourself verified -OR- paste the mini tab on your blog. Add it as a URL link customization.
3. Come back to networkblogs, get yourself verified.
4. Choose the sites that you want your posts to be auto updated, facebook or twitter.
5. Voila. Done.

Ok. Quota and KPI hit. Let's hope this healthy activity continues on and on.

P.S. Thank you networkblogs.com. :)
